1.2. Information Collection
Innovatia collects several different types of information for various purposes in the operation of its business and associated website. Personal Data collected by Innovatia includes, but is not limited to:
i. Employee records;
ii. Email and Internet usage guidelines;
iii. Customer information;
iv. Internal systems and access- permission, responsibilities, access to files, etc…;
v. Individual asset information - phones, laptops and other Innovatia devices; and,
vi. Cookies and Usage Data.
1.3. Use of Data
Innovatia uses the collected Personal Data for various purposes including:
i. To fulfil contractual commitments to customers, suppliers, employees and contractors;
ii. To provide and maintain Innovatia’s products and services;
iii. To maintain Innovatia’s website;
iv. To provide customer support;
v. To gather analysis or valuable information so that Innovatia can improve products and services;
vi. To monitor the usage of Innovatia’s internal information systems; and,
vii. To detect, prevent and address technical issues.
1.4. Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If Innovatia collects Personal Data of a User governed by the European Economic Area (EEA), Innovatia’s legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Policy depends on the Personal Data Innovatia collects and the specific context in which Innovatia collects the Personal Data. Innovatia may process Personal Data when:
i. Innovatia needs Personal Data to perform its contractual obligations;
ii. A User has given Innovatia permission to process Personal Data;
iii. The processing is in Innovatia’s legitimate interests and it is not overridden by the rights of the User; or,
iv. Required at law.
1.5. Retention of Data
Innovatia will retain Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. Innovatia will retain and use Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Innovatia’s legal obligations (for example, if Innovatia is required to retain Personal Data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce Innovatia’s legal agreements and policies.
